They are trendy among climbers; however, in recent years, they have also become an <a href=\"https:\/\/inafarawayland.com\/best-photography-spots-italian-dolomites\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"661\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iconic photography spot <\/a>for landscape photographers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Best_time_of_the_year_to_hike_to_the_Vajolet_Towers\"><\/span>Best time of the year to hike to the Vajolet Towers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hiking in the Rosengarten group is possible between June and mid-October. I try to avoid July and August when visiting the Dolomites due to crowds and the afternoon storms that occur almost daily.  September and October are my favourite months for hiking in the Dolomites. Both areas are famous amongst outdoor enthusiasts for their excellent access to many hikes and via ferratas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many routes into the Rosengarten group start in Fassa Valley, including the ones mentioned in this article. In my opinion, it is also the most exciting one, as it involves scrambling between the many spires of the Rosengarten Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Park at the <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/R2BB6UZyQKr79WHU9\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/R2BB6UZyQKr79WHU9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nova Levante parking lot<\/a> near the K\u00f6nig Laurin gondola, then take the gondola up to Rifugio Rosengarten (also known as Rifugio Fronza or K\u00f6lner H\u00fctte). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the hut, start hiking up path no. 550. After about 15 minutes, the path splits, and you have to go left, following the signs for Rifugio Santner and <a href=\"https:\/\/inafarawayland.com\/via-ferrata-passo-santner\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"675\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Via Ferrata Passo Santner<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get back to your car, you will have to follow the hiking path over Passo de Le Colonelle described below (no. 3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#24ad9936\"><strong>TIP:<\/strong> If you are travelling by public transport<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">, the bus stop near the trailhead is&nbsp;<em>Welschnofen, Frommer<\/em>. Type it as your destination in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedtirolmobil.info\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sued Tirol Mobil<\/a>&nbsp;site to check&nbsp;<\/span>the schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Hike_from_Ciampede_the_most_straightforward_way\"><\/span>2. From here, start your hike on path no. 550 towards Passo D. Colonelle. It takes approximately 50 minutes to reach the pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you reach the saddle, you will descend toward Rifugio Vajolet. The path follows a steep gully from the hut to Rifugio Re Alberto Primero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gully continues steeply along path no. 542. Passo Santner is only a 15-minute walk from the Re Alberto hut, and the final stop on via ferrata Passo Santner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new refuge was built on the pass, aptly named the Santner Pass Hut. From this spot, the Vajolet Towers resemble the palm of a hand reaching for the sky. It&#8217;s pretty impressive.
